“Spirituality is the tuning of the heart; neither by study nor piety can one attain it”

Why Philip Patterson?

Stay True To Your Values

Several years ago I made it through the difficult process of ending a long marriage. There were times I didn’t know how I’d get through the day. While none of it was easy, my mission through it all was to be able to know that I maintained my core values of honesty, kindness, and integrity no matter what was thrown at me. I wasn’t perfect at it, but did a pretty damn good job.

Major life changes, raising children and changing the way you live can be a bumpy road but you can do it with integrity. It’s life-affirming to know you prioritized doing the right thing, controlled your reactions, and held your head high. I can help to show you how.

Since then I’ve been enjoying participating in new communities, doing lots of work on myself, and creating new relationships. It’s a wonderful adventure every day and better and healthier than anything I could have previously imagined!
I’ve spent 35 years as a successful real estate broker in Seattle which has taught me a lot about how people respond to situations that have major consequences.

I’ve raised three sons who are thoughtful, conscious  men in their twenties and have been elite-level, successful, world-class athletes. We’re all devoted to the sport of alpine skiing.

In my younger years I was a touring road manager for popular entertainers including the Moody Blues and The Beach Boys. Those experiences taught me a few things about people too.

I’m a wedding officiant and LOVE performing and creating ceremonies for special people.

I love to cook, ski in the winter, paddle my kayak and take my little cruising powerboat all around the area in the summer, and spend time with my sons.

Stay True To Your Values

Several years ago I made it through the difficult process of ending a long marriage. There were times I didn’t know how I’d get through the day. While none of it was easy, my mission through it all was to be able to know – without any doubt – that I maintained my core values of honesty, authenticity, integrity no matter what was thrown at me.

Major life changes, raising children and changing the way you live can be a bumpy road but you can do it with integrity. It’s life-affirming to know you did the right thing, controlled your reactions, and held your head high. I can help to show you how.

Since then I’ve been enjoying participating in new communities, doing lots of work on myself, and creating new relationships. It’s a wonderful adventure every day. Be clear, get connected!

Mission

Let’s change the world together, one relationship at a time. I want to see you look deep inside yourself to find the kind of love that is most important in allowing you to connect more deeply and consciously with yourself and loved ones. The tools I can share will change your life.

Vision

I see a world of caring, compassionate, conscious, self-aware, and yes – imperfect – humans connecting more deeply and lovingly.

Values

Mission

To assist and guide you on a path to a better life. To see you look deep inside yourself to find the kind of love that is most important in allowing you to connect more deeply and consciously with your loved ones.

Vision

I want to change the world. Seriously. In western culture we are not taught – as children or adults – the most important things about being in relationships. The more we learn about and work on this, I believe we can change the world one human relationship at a time!

My Philosophy

Start wherever you may be

I’m a huge believer in meeting others where they are. Everyone is doing some kind of work on their lives, and it happens differently for us all. Sometimes we have epiphanies. Sometimes we feel stuck.

I work on being open to possibilities and not attached to outcome (thank you to my amazing therapist!). Easier said than done sometimes, but a process worthy of pursuit. When we have a specific outcome in mind it can sometimes be daunting to think about the path forward. I want to help you see what’s possible for you. You may not even have thought of it yet!

I like to get an outline going first so the chapters can start to form. Then we can start to develop characters.
Coaching someone to a desired outcome can be similar in many ways. It’s always easier and more productive when you have a friend with experience to help you stay focused and keep working towards those goals.
I got into coaching because I realized that I have a lot to offer the world and I truly wish to see it become a better place.

I love Philip for his brutal honesty. He manages to somehow be kind and gentle, but still honor accountability goals set forth at the outset. I find him easy to relate to and talk with. It seems he has a whole lot of life experience with a diverse perspective. Maybe that's what I like best about him, the feeling we could be talking about the most intimate of inner personal relationships, or what to make for dinner with equal enthusiasm.
